bring snow and some relief

to scenic vistas along

interstates plagued by drought

the market for christmas trees

has all but collapsed

from lack of rain

blazing trails of

brown needles

rolling down from

poughkeepsie through

augusta maine

the mayor of nyc

has issued a fire hazard

warning for central park

the newly rehired conductor

of the dc symphony has promised

to break the strings

on all the violins

fire the clarinets

fill the orchestra pit

with a billion broken bassoons

and single-note castanets

another supreme was

found on a park bench

with a bible and an aging oligarch

the stock market’s up

the population’s down

and the army’s getting ready

to haul immigrants

to death camps

or just out of town

a recently released study from

the faux foundation suggests

god doesn’t give a shit

unless tax cuts are involved

white boys living
